BETTY MAKHARINKSY soprano, trained at the Guildhall School of Music and Drama and on the Barock Vokal programme in Mainz, Germany. Her repertoire ranges from solo Baroque lute song and consort singing (BBC R3 lunchtime concert broadcast, Dec 2023) through oratorio solos (Brahms’ Requiem at SJSS, March 2024; Haydn’s Missa in Tempore Belli at the Al Bustan Festival in Lebanon, 2023) and operatic roles (Purcell’s Fairy Queen for HGO, April 2024) through to song. PIANO
PAVEL TIMOFEYEVSKY is a virtuoso pianist, composer, arranger and lecturer. He has received numerous prizes and accolades including BBC/Guardian Young Composer of the Year. Pavel has appeared at most major UK concert venues; concert tours and TV and radio appearances abroad include the USA, China, Canada, much of Europe, South Africa, Kenya and India. Pavel has premiered many contemporary works, featured on the album ISLAS (composer Ian Stewart) and recorded music by Hungarian composer Hans Gal with Ensemble Burletta. He recorded the soundtrack and starred in the US documentary “Tchaikovsky” and has composed music for films, including for Russian TV and Russia's oldest Animated film studio Souyzmultfilm.
