HOW LONG CAN I PLAY?
The standard playing slot is 8 minutes in which to perform one longer piece or two or more shorter pieces, either in a single visit to the piano or several.
LONGER PLAYING SLOTS
If you would like to play for longer (e.g. a whole sonata or a mini-recital in preparation for an exam) you may do so by selecting one of the alternative pianist slots in the booking links below. WHAT GENRES OF MUSIC CAN I PLAY?
Classical, pop, jazz, blues, improvisation, show tunes, duets with a partner, exam pieces. Anything at all for your own pleasure and progress.
WHAT IS THE LEVEL OF PLAYING ABILITY IN THE GROUP?
Roughly beginners to grade 8 and sometimes beyond. It really doesn’t matter. We can all gain something from listening to everybody, whatever you’re playing, whatever level you’re at.
I'M NERVOUS PLAYING IN FRONT OF PEOPLE…
Our events are relaxed and supportive; a 'safe place' for you to gain experience playing in front of others and learn how to handle nerves.
WILL THERE BE ANY COACHING OR ADVICE?
No. Other than expressions of encouragement, we specifically ask everyone to keep their opinions of other's playing to themselves, since one person's 'helpful advice' is another's 'stinging criticism'

IMPORTANT! If you are new to us -welcome! Would you also kindly provide your MOBILE when booking any of the pianist slots below. Organising a piano meetup has to be done with care and attention to detail, especially timings, so there is some communication prior to each event, which can be done more quickly and simply by text message. Thanks!
